Championships Cancelled

This is a follow-up on the news on September 22. It is not really official till PM Abe announces at the opening of the Assembly on September 28, but it is certain that he will dissolve the House of Representatives and call for a general election on September 28, make a public announcement of a general election on October 10 and the voting day on October 22.

As the voting day falls on the first day of the 70th Sumida Sports Festival Championships, men's singles and women's doubles are cancelled since the gym is used for a polling place. This year's Sumida Sports Festival Championships has only men's doubles and women's singles on October 29. It is too bad since we had a greater number of men's singles players for this championships from Green Badminton Club this year. Now we have resumed our activities at both of our venues (RJHS and MES), we expect all the participating members to practice hard and perform their best at the championships on October 29.
