Championships Postponed...?

Due to the possibility that Prime Minister Abe calling for the general elections after he returns from the United States presenting his speech at the United Nations, the actual election date might fall on the same date for the 70th Sumida Sports Festival Championships on Sunday, October 22. Since Sumida General Gymnasium is appointed as a voting location, the championships would be forced to postpone or cancel.

Because the Abe administration has not made any clear statements on this issue, Sumida Badminton Federation does not have any plan of actions. We will keep you posted on this issue and will announce the decision from Sumida Badminton Federation as soon as we hear from them.
