Daihatsu Yonex Japan Open

After this long weekend, Daihatsu Yonex Japan Open 2017 will be held at Tokyo Gymnasium in Sendagaya on Tuesday, September 19. Just a few weeks ago at World Championships in Glasgow, England, Okuhara won gold metal in women's singles, Fukushima/Hirota won silver and Takahashi/Matsutomo won bronze in women's doubles, and Sonoda/Kamura won bronze in men's doubles. They and other Japanese players are expected to perform well in this event, too.

There is no Japanese men's player straight to the final tournament from the current world ranking unfortunately. Kanta Tsuneyama, Kazumasa Sakai, Takuma Ueda and Kenta Nishimoto will play preliminary round on Tuesday in order to advance to the final tournament.
