The 47th Sumida Team Competition - Results

The 47th Sumida Team Competition was held at Sumida City Gymnasium on Sunday, July 23. Two men's teams and two women's teams competed in the event from Green BC. As expected, it was very stiff competition. Men's team A competed in Div. III league and finished in 2nd with 2 wins and 1 loss. This result moved the overall team ranking by 2 in the 10th position. Men's team B competed in Div VI as a open participant (meaning that the team didn't compete for ranking) and the overall ranking remained the same at the 23rd position.

Women's team A competed in Div IV league and finished in 2nd with 2 wins 1 loss record, however the overall team ranking was down by 1 in the 13th position. Team B played in Div V league and finished in 3rd with 1 wins 2 loss record, resulting the overall ranking up by 1 in the 19th position.

The competition was very stiff and it was a tiny difference between moving up and down the divisions. Men's team A and women's team A were very close to moving up to Div. II and Div. III respectively. Let's work hard so that we can move up next year, but always enjoy playing badminton! For all members who played in the competition all day, WELL DONE!
